HOW IT WORKS...

IPS Training U9 - U19

The IPS Curriculum is built around decision making activities that challenge players on a physical & psychological level.  


CITYPLAY Playermaker Straps provide players with specialized data for a detailed training analysis. (Individual Session Only or Via Request)

Booking Instructions

To meet the needs of the player, please send a "Session Request" via email to iperformancesoccer@gmail.com. 


This allows a session to be booked with more flexibility & begins the conversation about the type of session that best suits the player.


Before paying for a session, please send a "Session Request" to discuss options.

Individual Session

Option 1: Player specific training ($40)

Option 2: Training + Game Assessment + Playermaker Straps ($50)


All individual sessions will receive the session plan 24 hours before the session via email.

Goalkeeper Session

Basic Goalkeeper Session ($40)


Depending on the player details, a referral may be made to a licensed goalkeeper coach.  

Small Group Session

Cost & duration depending on # of players.


A custom session plan will be built around the players attending.

Training plan Example

attack

DESCRIPTION: Dribble through color-coordinating gates within the grid | A new color is called out every 30 seconds until all are complete | Players will use their left foot only, right foot only & both feet | Rest for 1 minute between reps.


DECISION MAKING: Scan for correct color gates | Choose efficient dribbling paths | React quickly to new color callouts.


REPS / SETS: Three 1-minute reps | 2 - 3 sets


ACTIVITY DURATION: 10 - 15 minutes

defend

DESCRIPTION: Receive ground pass | Fake a pass & execute a 180° turn | Pass to color-coordinated goal using correct foot | Engage in a 1v1.


DECISION MAKING: Choose most efficient foot based on angle | Decide target based on color que.


REPS / SETS: 10 - 15 reps | 2 - 3 sets


ACTIVITY DURATION: 10 - 15 minutes

transition

DESCRIPTION: Start with a throw-in | Make a forward run for a through ball | Pass to color-coordinating goal | Immediately turn to chase down a rolling ball toward the opposite goal | Pass to the same goal & repeat.


DECISION MAKING: Decide which foot to use when passing | Adjust timing of run & transition quickly into recovery.


REPS / SETS: 10 - 15 reps | 2-3 sets


ACTIVITY DURATION: 10 - 15 minutes

  • The game assessment is to help players learn how to watch game with intention.

What is a playermaker strap?

6-Axis Motion smart Sensor

Built with a gyroscope & accelerometer that sample movement events at 1000 times/second. 


Allowing for measurement of micromovement, inducing impact with the ground, ball & rotation of each foot.
